Striker Steven Davies joins Rochdale.

17 August 2016

Striker Steven Davies has today joined Rochdale on a one year deal.

Steven left Bradford in the summer after spending last season with the Bantams, scoring against Dale in the 2-2 draw at Valley Parade.

The striker started out at Tranmere before moving into the Championship with Derby County in 2008. He later moved on Bristol City and then on to Blackpool. He had a loan spell away from Bloomfield Road at Sheffield United in 2015, before going on to sign permanently for Bradford City in 2015.

Speaking of his move to Rochdale, Steven said “After my agent told me over the weekend that Rochdale wanted to speak to me, I came in on Monday to see the manager and I was really impressed. We spoke about the philosophy of how he likes to play. It’s a style that suits me and my style of play suits the managers system.”

“I’ve played with a few other players who have played at Rochdale under Keith and they have all spoken highly about the club and the manager and I’m excited now to get started with the club.”

Steven will be wearing shirt number 19.
