We can confirm that tradesman trialist River Humphreys will join up with the first team after the squad returns from Tenerife.
He’s due to start his one month trial on the week commencing July 11th.
The 25-year-old plasterer, who is currently a defender at Runcorn Linnets FC, won the Fiat Professional Tradesman Trials after impressing Stuart Pearce, Dean Windass and Geoff Horsfield. He was chosen as the winner from 20 trialists and selected Dale for his trial.
The Fiat Professional Tradesman Trials was launched as a search to find a current tradesman who has the talent to make it as a professional footballer in the EFL.
