Camps, Cannon & Rathbone Contracts Extended

6 March 2017

Rochdale Football Club have triggered the option clauses on the contracts of Callum Camps, Andy Cannon and Ollie Rathbone, extending their stay at Dale.

The talented trio are now contracted to the club until the summer of 2018.

Captain Camps (21) and Cannon (20) are a product of Rochdale’s successful Academy, while Ollie Rathbone (20) is a graduate of Manchester United’s youth system and joined Dale in the summer.

Camps has made almost 100 appearances for Keith Hill’s side since breaking into the first team and Cannon has played over 70 times. Rathbone has impressed since arriving at the club and has already clocked up 23 appearances.

Camps, Cannon and Rathbone are the latest in a long list of players to commit their future to Rochdale since December, following the likes of Jamie Allen, Calvin Andrew, Joe Bunney, Steven Davies and Joe Thompson in extending their contracts.

Manager Keith Hill commented: “I wanted to make sure that we were planning for next season and it’s reassuring that we had the options in their contracts.

“We want to work these players, we want to continue developing as a football club and we want to continue developing those players. We’ve got a good, young, vibrant team and it’s good business. We’re under pinning our future as a football club.”
