Bucket Collection For Josh McCormack

27 September 2016

A bucket collection is being held at Tuesday night’s League fixture v Bolton Wanderers for Josh McCormack.

Rochdale Football Club added its support to the Josh McCormack fundraising campaign earlier this year and has continued to offer well wishes to the five-year-old, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2015.

Josh, who is from Rochdale, had taken strides forward in his recovery after receiving treatment for his illness and was well enough to lead the teams out at Dale’s match v MK Dons in August. He also started back at school for the first time in almost a year earlier this month.

Sadly, on Monday night, Josh’s Mum revealed the heart-breaking news that his tumour has progressed and he is now terminal.

His family are now trying to raise money to send Josh to America to receive immunotherapy as there is no treatment available in the UK. Treatment costs in excess of £200,000. After hearing the news, we've arranged for a bucket collection to be held at Tuesday night's game in a bid to help raise money towards the target. Look out for #TeamJoshMc volunteers around the ground and donate if you can.

Everyone at Rochdale Football Club sends their love to Josh and his family.
