Kgosi Ntlhe & James Finnerty Visit 'School Of The Week'

8 November 2018

Kgosi Ntlhe and James Finnerty visited youngsters at St Edward’s C of E Primary School on Thursday afternoon.

The visit was part of Dale In The Community Sports Trust’s ‘School Of The Week’ initiative, which is aimed at getting more children than ever before involved in the matchday experience at the Crown Oil Arena.

The initiative sees first team players join Dale Community Trust coaches at a selected school and take part in a Q&A session with the children.

The school will then receive an invitation to attend a Dale game at the Crown Oil Arena, with up to ten Year 5 and Year 6 pupils acting as flag bearers on the day of the match, while others will get involved in a five-a-side game on the pitch at half-time against another chosen school.

Kgosi told the children Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus is the toughest opponent he has faced, whilst James said his was Borussia Dortmund and England winger Jadon Sancho, in reply to one of the many questions they faced.

The pair then signed autographs for the youngsters and received a drawing of a footballer from one young boy!

Youngsters from St Edward’s will be in attendance at Dale’s match at home to Accrington Stanley on Saturday 24th November.
