Leyton Orient v/s Rochdale

Rochdale were unable to bow out of League One with a win on Saturday as the side went down 2-1 to Leyton Orient at the Matchroom Stadium. Orient took a two goal lead through Dean Cox and Moses Odubajo, before Reece Gray pulled one back for Rochdale. There were 3 changes to the Dale starting eleven with Dean Holden replacing Kevin Long who has now gone back to Burnley following the end of his loan spell at Spotland in defence, Simon Hackney was handed his first competitive start in place of Joe Thompson, while Reece Gray were given the nod ahead of Michael Symes.After an equal opening period, it was the home side who went on to have the first Opportunity of the game on six minutes. Dean Cox sent a curling free-kick deep into the six yard box for the unmarked Jimmy Smith who sent a free-header goal-ward. The effort, despite sending goalkeeper Matt Edwards scuffling to his post, it went past the upright. Rochdale began to dominate for a spell but failed to make it count in the final third and were later punished.
